Carding for Fractals Workshop – January 18, 2020
One seat including materials fees and box lunch for Color Theory: Carding for Fractals on January 18, 2020. See details below for more info.
Workshop Description: Have you marveled at the eye-popping colors of the increasingly popular fractal yarns? Fractals can be spun from braids, but the repeating patterns that comprise a fractal can be prepared on a drum carder. In this class, students learn how to start with fleece to create their own preparation for two- and three-ply fractal yarns. All carding and blending will be done on our Elite Series Drum Carders with each student using their own electric carder. All materials, carders, and tools will be provided by the instructors.
Date and Time: Saturday, January 18, 2020. 9am-4pm. Box lunch is provided.
Location: Courtyard by Marriott Richmond Berkeley, 3150 Garrity Way, Richmond, CA 94806.
Materials fee: Included in the cost of the class.
Students to bring: An attitude for learning! All materials and equipment will be provided. Students may bring drum carders or fiber they would like advice on using or carding. Coffee will be provided for morning and afternoon breaks.
