Gray

A 5″ long BFL x Gotland crossbreed exhibiting a multitude of gray and blonde hues. This fleece has the hand of a BFL with distinct, easy to open tips.

A brown and gray Border Leicester with distinct five to six inch long locks. A fairly typical BL fleece, this would make for a great worsted spinning project.

Here is a cross we don’t see very often – Corriedale x Lincoln. The result is a pleasing two toned gray, from light gray to steel gray with a bit of luster. The locks are 5 inches in length with a less defined wavey crimp. They are easily opened. The hand is surprising, good. Overall, a very nice fleece.

This unique fleece comes from a producer that features a Merino x Lincoln x Cormo x Wensleydale crossbreed. This fleece is 50% Corriedale and 50% of that four-way cross. The result is a 5″ long fleece; it is black in color with hints of brown and gray and a french fry staple like you would expect with Corriedale, but with a softer hand than is typical for a pure Corriedale.

A fun four-breed cross measuring 4.5″ in length. The locks are both crimpy and wavy, as sometimes happens in a crossbreed. This fleece did pick up some variegation in its color from the CVM lineage and the tans and light grays are best described as oatmeal in color. Don’t you need more fiber in your diet?
