This unique cross of Border Leicester and CVM looks like someone took a CVM and just made everything bigger: 5″ long locks, big french fry crimp, and slightly larger fiber diameter – resulting in a medium hand rather than the typically silky soft hand of CVM. Still, this is an all around fun and squishy fleece.

$195.00 Read moreThe “V” in CVM stands for Variegated; this fleece certainly exhibits that trait with its white and gray coloration. It has a soft hand in its crimpy, four inch long locks. Sold as a whole fleece weighing 2.1 pounds. This is a rare breed, listed on the Conservation Priority List from the National Livestock Conservancy, and will include a passport sticker for the Shave ‘Em to Save ‘Em Initiative.

As a rare breed on the Conservation Priority List, this breed is hard to come by and as such it has a little more vegetable matter than we typically accept in Good Clean Fiber, but the fiber is nice once processed. Each order of four ounces or more will receive a SE2SE passport sticker. This is additional fleece from our SE2SE club from the 4th quarter of 2023.

Despite being a crossbreed of a dual-purpose breed and two long wools, this fleece has a medium to soft hand.
