It has a tighter crimp than one would expect for a fleece of this length. This is a Shave ‘Em to Save ‘Em breed and each order of 4 ounces or more will receive a passport sticker.

$16.00 – $29.00 Select optionsA white Karakul lamb fleece with tan and red tips. A staple length around 5″ should make this a relatively easy fleece to spin and process and as a lamb, it does have a softer hand than we typically see in this breed.

Santa Cruz Island #2355
$17.00 – $52.00 Select optionsA highly energized Santa Cruz Island fleece with locks measuring 1.5 to 2 inches in length that snap out to as much as 3 inches. Brown with shades of tan and gray. This is a rare color in a very rare breed, and each order of four ounces or more comes with a passport sticker for the Shave ‘Em to Save ‘Em Iniatitive. As this breed is still quite feral, there is more vegetable matter in this fleece than we typically allow in Good Clean Fiber.

As this is a rare breed, we are limited in our options and this fleece does have a little more vegetable matter than we like to see, but it can all be easily removed with a Lock Pop or flicker. Each order of 4 oz. or more will come with a passport sticker for the Shave ‘Em to Save ‘Em initiative from the National Livestock Conservancy.
