Shave ‘Em to Save ‘Em Fleece

A “white” Navajo Churro fleece with shades of tan, gray, and brown. This fleece has a 6″ long staple length, with the soft undercoat measuring 4″ in length. Sold as a whole fleece weighing 2.1 pounds. This is a Conservation Priority List breed and will include a SE2SE passport sticker.

This moorit (brown) CVM fleece is from a wether, or castrated male. We prefer wethers because they don’t go through the stress of the reproductive cycle at any point during the year, meaning all of their energy goes into growing a nice fleece. This fleece has 3.5″ staple length and the soft hand you would expect with a CVM. It does have a light touch of lanolin and you may see a light sheen on your hands when working this fleece, but it is not so much that it will harm your equipment or make it more difficult to process. This is being sold as a whole 2.6 pound fleece and will come with a Shave ‘Em to Save ‘Em passport sticker.

A black and white Jacob fleece with 3.5″ locks and a medium hand. This is a true multipurpose fleece – it can be prepared and spun woolen or worsted, used for outerwear or next to skin for socks or mittens, and can be separated by color or blended together. Sold as a whole fleece weighing 1.8 pounds. Jacob is a rare breed and this fleece will come with a passport sticker for the Shave ‘Em to Save ‘Em Iniatitive from the National Livestock Conservancy.

A gray, tan, and black Karakul fleece with locks measuring about 7 inches in length. Sold as a whole fleece weighing 2.1 pounds.

Here is a nice Leicester Longwool. The locks are silver gray in color, 5-inches in length with typical Leicester crimp and luster. Leicester Longwool is a Shave ‘Em to Save ‘Em breed. A passport sticker will be included with 4 ounces or more.
