  • Fleece for Sale

    BFL x Clun Forest #20028

    $58.00$109.00 Select options

We see a lot of this particular crossbreed, but this fleece is unique in that it looks mostly like a BFL fleece but with tips that are easy to open. The 6″ locks are mostly uniform in structure, and there is some yolk (yellowing) throughout the fleece.

    BFL x Clun Forest x Texel #21137

    $32.00$105.00 Select options

A variation on one of our favorite crossbreeds, this fleece also has Texel lineage. The result is a creamy white, 4-5″ long lock with a medium hand and a bit of energy and sproing.

  • Fleece for Sale

    BFL x Teeswater #232

    $18.00$107.00 Select options

A longwool crossbreed that has a medium hand and wavy six inch locks. While neither of these breeds is known for being particularly easy to process, we’ve found the tips on this fleece to pop open quite easily.

    $39.00$129.00 Select options

A stunning, six-inch-long, creamy white crossbreed. This fleece has curly, energized locks like one would expect from a BFL, but with the easy to open tips and relatively soft hand of a Wensleydale.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Border Leicester #21162

  • Fleece for Sale

    Border Leicester Lamb #21150

    $16.00$87.00 Select options

Is curlalicious a word? We feel like it should be, and you will too when you see the delicious curlicue tips of this Border Leicester lamb fleece. The locks are five to six inches in length and range from deep brown to chocolate to dark tan in color. As a lamb fleece, this has a softer than usual hand for the breed and is soft enough for next to skin for most people.

    Coopworth #19109

    $14.00$75.00 Select options

A typical Coopworth fleece, white with a tan tip. This color is perfect to use as is or would be excellent to over dye. At 4.5 inches in length it can be processed either woolen or worsted.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Corriedale X #22089

This is a spectacular fleece that just missed out on being a Bliss fleece (to another fleece from the same flock).

  • Fleece for Sale

    Corriedale x Lincoln x CVM x Cotswold #153

    $23.00$76.00 Select options

An interesting 4-way cross, Dark Moorit (brown) in color with lighter tips. Inconsistent in length and crimp, with the length varying from 4 to 6 inches. Feels slightly coarser than Corriedale and would probably make a great pair of socks.

    $34.00$112.00 Select options

This cross of CVM, Cotswold and BFL produced a white fleece with 5 ½-inch locks. The locks have the structure of a BFL. The BFL and the Cotswold contributed length and some sheen. The CVM contributed the softness. This is a lamb fleece with a little tenderness in the tips. A pass through a lockpop or a flicker will remove the tender tips.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Merino x Wensleydale x Cormo #149

    $54.00$103.00 Select options

This white fleece is a cross between Merino, Cormo and Wensleydale. With half of the genetics coming from the Merino and a quarter each from the Cormo and Wensleydale we would expect a very soft hand from the fine wools and a more open crimp from the long wool. Surprise! It is soft with lots and lots of crimp. And a lock that looks like a mini BFL. There is a lot of stretch or, as we say, sproing. The fiber is 4-1/2 inches in length. We love these fine wools crossed with Wensleydale. This fiber should be very interesting to work with.
