While about half the locks seem to be the typical thin, crimpy, BFL style, the other half are more open and less energized. This naughty lamb shook off its coat a few times during the growing season, and there are spots that have more VM than we typically see in a coated fleece. This will be a fun and interesting fleece to process. Sold as a whole 2.2 pound fleece.

This fleece, however, has both a little more vegetable matter than the fiber we used in the club, as well as a break right in the middle of the lock. At just 3.5 inches in length, that leaves less than 2″ in both of the broken halves; this fleece is most likely suited best for felting due to the short length of the resulting fibers.
