  • Fleece for Sale

    Corriedale x Merino x Wensleydale #140

    $16.00$52.00 Select options

This is a very nice 3-way cross: Corriedale x Merino x Wensleydale. The result is a fairly open lock with fine crimp, a soft hand and 5-inch length. The color is brown and medium gray and this fleece does exhibit some luster. Overall an excellent spinners fleece.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Wensleydale #234

    $20.00$64.00 Select options

White Wensleydale with 5″ long locks in a very open, wavy lock structure. Like most Wensleydales, this fleece has a surprisingly soft hand for being a longwool. Due to the open and distinct form of the locks, this would be a fun fleece to experiment with in the dye pot.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Merino x Wensleydale x Cormo #149

    $54.00$103.00 Select options

This white fleece is a cross between Merino, Cormo and Wensleydale. With half of the genetics coming from the Merino and a quarter each from the Cormo and Wensleydale we would expect a very soft hand from the fine wools and a more open crimp from the long wool. Surprise! It is soft with lots and lots of crimp. And a lock that looks like a mini BFL. There is a lot of stretch or, as we say, sproing. The fiber is 4-1/2 inches in length. We love these fine wools crossed with Wensleydale. This fiber should be very interesting to work with.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Corriedale x Merino x Cormo x Wensleydale #22310

    $17.00$175.00 Select options

A creamy white four-way crossbreed with soft 4″ locks. This fleece is from the same sheep that we used for our 3rd quarter Bliss club, but is from a different year – one in which its fleece was a little shorter and a little muddier. Overall, still a nice fleece and a fun crossbreed.

  • Fleece for Sale

This unique fleece comes from a producer that features a Merino x Lincoln x Cormo x Wensleydale crossbreed. This fleece is 50% Corriedale and 50% of that four-way cross. Merino x Cormo x Wensleydale #18141

This fleece is a cross between Merino, Cormo, and Wensleydale. The fiber is 4-1/2 inches in length and a medium brown color. We love these fine wools crossed with Wensleydale. This is an excellent hand spinners fleece.

Wensleydale is one of our favorite breeds to work with and one of the breeders we have known for a number of years has been experimenting with breeding morrit (brown) Wensleydales. We are just now beginning to see the results of their labors and we are quite impressed. Today we are offering a variegated moorit gray fleece. Locks are four inches in length and have a very high luster. Typical Wensleydale crimp. You will not be disappointed with this one.

    Imperfect Wensleydale #42319

    $120.00 Read more

A delectable 6″ long Wensleydale sporting every shade of gray that you can imagine. The lock structure is a unique combination of wavy, curly, and corkscrew, which has unfortunately trapped a lot of dirt in this fleece. As such, it is in our Imperfect category as it will require quite a bit of additional processing to separate the soft, gorgeous fibers from the dirt and vegetable matter. Sold as a whole fleece weighing 2.5 pounds.

  • Fleece for Sale

    BFL x Wensleydale #723158

    $115.00 Read more

A unique crossbreed with energized locks measuring five to six inches in length. The locks look mostly like you would expect from a BFL, but with a little more open tip due to the Wensleydale influence. The lock structure does seem to trap in a bit more vegetable matter and dirt than usual, so there will be a little work with a Lock Pop or flicker to open this one up and get it clean. This fleece is black with brown on the tips. Sold as a highly skirted whole fleece weighing 0.8 pounds (13 ounces).
