    This crossbreed is unique in that most producers breed long wools with short wools, or coarse wools to fine ones. This cross, however, is between two our our favorite medium wools. The result is a 3.5″ to 4″ lock with a medium hand and heavy sproing or snap back. The chocolate brown locks end in blonde tips that are easy to open and process.

    Here is a cross we don’t see very often – Corriedale x Lincoln. The result is a pleasing two toned gray, from light gray to steel gray with a bit of luster. The locks are 5 inches in length with a less defined wavey crimp. They are easily opened. The hand is surprising, good. Overall, a very nice fleece.

    A silky soft Lincoln lamb fleece in a deliciously dark charcoal color with 5″ long locks. The curly lamb tips are a dark brown and will create an interesting depth of color when this fiber is processed. This pound of fleece (16 ounces) was skirted for having too much vegetable matter, but the underlying fleece will be amazing with a little work with a Lock Pop. Lincoln is a Shave ‘Em to Save ‘Em breed; purchase will include a passport sticker for the Livestock Conservancy’s SE2SE Initiative.

    Here we have a Lincoln lamb fleece. Lincoln is one of the English Long wools. Locks are white, 5 inches in length, exhibit a nice sheen and end in a typical lamb curl. There is a fair amount of yellowing in the locks. If overdyed they will have a lustrous, heather effect.
