    This Romney x Corriedale is a crossbreed that we do not see too often. The locks are 4 inches in length and white with just a touch of yellow here and there. The hand is similar to a Corriedale. At 4 inches in length this fleece can be processed either woolen of worsted.

    A highly energized Santa Cruz Island fleece with locks measuring 1.5 to 2 inches in length that snap out to as much as 3 inches. Brown with shades of tan and gray. This is a rare color in a very rare breed, and each order of four ounces or more comes with a passport sticker for the Shave ‘Em to Save ‘Em Iniatitive. As this breed is still quite feral, there is more vegetable matter in this fleece than we typically allow in Good Clean Fiber.

    Don’t let the word Suffolk scare you away from this fleece! Despite being a crossbreed of a dual-purpose breed and two long wools, this fleece has a medium to soft hand. White to light gray with loose, mostly french fry style but occassionally wavy 5″ long locks. A wonderful example of the effects of cross breeding.

    This is a 5-inch Teeswater fleece that is off-white with yolk-stained (yellow) tips. With all the color variations it should produce some very interesting, mottled colors if dyed; it also has some sheen though not as much as the breed typically exhibits. This is a rare breed and is listed on the National Livestock Conservancy’s Priority List. Each order of four ounces or more will include a passport sticker for the Shave ‘Em to Save ‘Em Initiative.
