Our burnishing brush allows the user to create a 50% larger batt. The straight metal teeth of this brush hone the teeth of the drum carder while packing the thickest batts possible. Bigger, thicker batts mean stopping less often to doff, leaving more time for carding and spinning. Batts that are packed with a brush tend to release from the card cloth easier than those that are not packed – leaving less fibers behind to clean and your batt intact.
Our Burnishing Brush utilizes a turned maple handle tenoned into an alder back, just like our hand cards. The smooth, round handle provides for a comfortable grip in small or large hands. The 4.75” x 2” burnishing area has 1” long teeth set in a vulcanized foundation.
