Our Flat Back Carders are made in a similar manner to their curved back counterparts, utilizing a turned maple handle tenoned into an alder back. This combination of woods puts the bulk of the weight in the palm of the user’s hand, making these cards as ergonomic as possible. The smooth, round handle provides for a comfortable grip in small or large hands. The 10” x 3.5” carding pad has 120 teeth per inch set in a vulcanized canvas foundation.
