  • Fleece for Sale

    BFL x Clun Forest #20028

    $58.00$109.00 Select options

We see a lot of this particular crossbreed, but this fleece is unique in that it looks mostly like a BFL fleece but with tips that are easy to open. The 6″ locks are mostly uniform in structure, and there is some yolk (yellowing) throughout the fleece.

  • Fleece for Sale

    BFL x Coopworth #19126

    $16.00$47.00 Select options

White BFL x Coopworth crossbreed fleece with staple length ranging from 4-5” and varying crimp style. This is a fun mix of breeds, but is priced to reflect the inconsistency in length and crimp.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Bond #2117

    $75.00$140.00 Select options

This fleece lands somewhere in the champagne-taupe spectrum and even has some patches of chocolate brown, gray, and white. Distinguished, 4.5″ locks with a medium hand make this a versatile fleece suitable for many projects.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Border Leicester #19172

    $38.00$74.00 Select options

A white Border Leicester that looks prototypical for the breed. The curly 5″ to 6″ long locks end in pointy tips that open easily with a Lock Pop or flicker.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Border Leicester #20142

    $23.00$135.00 Select options

A white Border Leicester fleece with 5″ long, clearly-defined locks. This fleece has a softer hand than most of the Border Leicester that we see.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Border Leicester x CVM #22252

    $18.00$104.00 Select options

Bright white and big crimp! This unique cross of Border Leicester and CVM looks like someone took a CVM and just made everything bigger: 5″ long locks, big french fry crimp, and slightly larger fiber diameter – resulting in a medium hand rather than the typically silky soft hand of CVM. Still, this is an all around fun and squishy fleece.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Coopworth x Shetland x Merino #19193

    $13.00$71.00 Read more

A fun crossbreed with 5″ locks and a medium hand. The breeding on this fleece was 50% Coopworth and 25% each Merino and Shetland, and this fleece is pretty much what you would expect when its lineage is half long wool and half fine wools.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Cotswold #2291

    $22.00$72.00 Select options

A white Cotswold with curly staples from four to six inches in length. This is a Shave ‘Em to Save ‘Em breed and each order of four ounces or more will receive a passport sticker.

  • Fleece for Sale

    CVM x Cotswold x BFL Lamb #20150

    $66.00$125.00 Select options

A white crossbreed with clearly defined, 4.5″ long locks that taper to a tell-tale lamb curlicue. This fleece exhibits a little bit of all three of its breeds, and the end product is essentially a crimpy BFL with a softer than normal hand.

  • Fleece for Sale

    CVM x Cotswold x Wensleydale x Lincoln #2135

    $40.00$133.00 Select options

A fun four-breed cross measuring 4.5″ in length. The locks are both crimpy and wavy, as sometimes happens in a crossbreed. This fleece did pick up some variegation in its color from the CVM lineage and the tans and light grays are best described as oatmeal in color. Don’t you need more fiber in your diet?

  • Fleece for Sale

    CVM x Romney x Corriedale #2090

    $22.00$70.00 Select options

A bright white crossbreed with locks measuring 4 to 5″ in length. Medium hand, with a tight CVM-like crimp in blocky, easy to process locks.

  • Fleece for Sale

    CVM x Wensleydale x Lincoln #2140

    $47.00$158.00 Select options

A 4.5″ crossbreed with lots of sproing and medium to soft hand. We landed on “oatmeal” as a color designation on this fleece, as it is a mottled light gray and tan.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Karakul #22197

    $36.00$119.00 Select options

A white Karakul fleece with tan and rust-colored “red” tips. Locks measure five to six inches in length. This is a SE2SE breed and each order of four ounces or more will include a passport sticker.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Lincoln #22063

    $34.00$112.00 Select options

A curly, 5.5″ long Lincoln fleece that might best be called dirty blonde in color. This is a good example of the Lincoln breed, though it is a little shorter than a full year of growth.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Merino #22041

    $16.00$94.00 Select options

A luscious, creamy white Merino that checks in at 19 micron and 4.5 inches.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Merino Crossbreed #2199

    $19.00$109.00 Select options

A bright white Merino Crossbred measuring 5″ in length. The thin locks have high energy and a combination of wavy and curly crimp. As we do not know this fleece’s progeny (other than Merino) and it looks and feels like a Merino with a little extra length, we have simply listed it as a Merino Crossbreed.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Merino x Wensleydale x Cormo #149

    $54.00$103.00 Select options

This white fleece is a cross between Merino, Cormo and Wensleydale. With half of the genetics coming from the Merino and a quarter each from the Cormo and Wensleydale we would expect a very soft hand from the fine wools and a more open crimp from the long wool. Surprise! It is soft with lots and lots of crimp. And a lock that looks like a mini BFL. There is a lot of stretch or, as we say, sproing. The fiber is 4-1/2 inches in length. We love these fine wools crossed with Wensleydale. This fiber should be very interesting to work with.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Mohair #18215

    $68.00$128.00 Select options

This yearling mohair is a fun mix of black and white, with some locks having both colors. At 4.5″ in length, this half-year clip is ideal for anyone who wants a shorter mohair or wants to process mohair for the first time without the challenge of a full year’s growth.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Shetland x Coopworth #19183

    $29.00$56.00 Select options

An interesting pairing of breeds that achieved the goal of corssbreeding: this fleece mostly resembles Coopworth, but has a softer than typical hand and locks that are very easy to open. White with 5″ long locks, this should be a breeze to process.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Suffolk x Teeswater x Gotland #23107

    $19.00$114.00 Select options

Don’t let the word Suffolk scare you away from this fleece! Despite being a crossbreed of a dual-purpose breed and two long wools, this fleece has a medium to soft hand. White to light gray with loose, mostly french fry style but occassionally wavy 5″ long locks. A wonderful example of the effects of cross breeding.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Teeswater x CVM #22256

    $33.00$109.00 Select options

What happens when you cross a relatively soft long wool with a fine wool? You get this deliciously squishy, 5.5″ long, bright white fleece with distinct locks that should process like a dream.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Valais Blacknose #22203

    $29.00$95.00 Select options

Our first offering of Valais Blacknose is mostly white and blond with a smattering of grays. The tapered locks are mostly about 5″ in length, with some growing out to 7″ long. This is a medium to coarse fleece; not something to be used for a next to skin garment.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Wensleydale #22171

    $20.00$117.00 Select options

This fascinating lamb fleece has 8″ long locks that lay in corkscrews. Golden white in color, this fleece might be a little tricky to process with its narrow, twisted locks.
