This lamb fleece is an excellent example of the results when everything went right in crossbreeding. The white locks are 7+ inches in length, easy to open, and end in curlicue lamb tips.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Merino x Wensleydale x Cormo #149

    $54.00$103.00 Select options

This white fleece is a cross between Merino, Cormo and Wensleydale. With half of the genetics coming from the Merino and a quarter each from the Cormo and Wensleydale we would expect a very soft hand from the fine wools and a more open crimp from the long wool. Surprise! It is soft with lots and lots of crimp. And a lock that looks like a mini BFL. There is a lot of stretch or, as we say, sproing. The fiber is 4-1/2 inches in length. We love these fine wools crossed with Wensleydale. This fiber should be very interesting to work with.
