The lock structure does seem to trap in a bit more vegetable matter and dirt than usual, so there will be a little work with a Lock Pop or flicker to open this one up and get it clean. This fleece is black with brown on the tips. Sold as a highly skirted whole fleece weighing 0.8 pounds (13 ounces).

The curlicue lamb tips are occassionally tender, but will pop off during fiber prep and there is a bit of yolk stain throughout. The 5″ long, springy locks will easily spin into a highly energized yarn. Sold as a whole 2.3 pound fleece.

It does have a light touch of lanolin and you may see a light sheen on your hands when working this fleece, but it is not so much that it will harm your equipment or make it more difficult to process.
