  • Fleece for Sale

    CVM x Wensleydale #2134

    $21.00$126.00 Select options

This fleece exhibits some of the best characteristics of two of our favorite breeds: the variegated color and fineness of the CVM and the soft hand and easy processing of Wensleydale. Fawn brown, 4″ locks; overall, a lovely fleece.

  • Fleece for Sale

    CVM x Wensleydale #22109

    $23.00$137.00 Select options

A CVM and Wensleydale crossbreed fleece with distinct, french-fry-style 4.5″ locks. We call this color oatmeal, as the influence of the CVM gives the fleece some variegation in its light gray, tan, and brown coloring.

  • Fleece for Sale

    CVM x Wensleydale x Lincoln #2140

    $47.00$158.00 Select options

A 4.5″ crossbreed with lots of sproing and medium to soft hand. We landed on “oatmeal” as a color designation on this fleece, as it is a mottled light gray and tan.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Leicester X #18189

    $22.00$128.00 Select options

We’re calling this fleece a “Leicester X” because it is a crossbreed that is predominantly a Leicester Longwool and that it what it resembles. Its curly white locks are 6+ inches in length and will process easily.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Merino Crossbreed #21105

    $33.00$57.00 Read more

A lusciously soft Merino crossbreed with 5″ locks. Mostly black with hints of dark brown and gray, and a french fry style crimp. Fleece like this one are the reason we like crossbreeds; it would otherwise be impossible to get a fleece with both this length and such a soft hand.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Merino x Cormo x Wensleydale #18141

    $32.00$103.00 Select options

This fleece is a cross between Merino, Cormo, and Wensleydale. With half of the genetics coming from the Merino and a quarter each from the Cormo and Wensleydale we would expect a very soft hand from the fine wools and a more open crimp from the long wool – and that is exactly what we have. The fiber is 4-1/2 inches in length and a medium brown color. We love these fine wools crossed with Wensleydale. This is an excellent hand spinners fleece.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Merino x CVM #22219

    $60.00 Select options

A black Merino and CVM crossbreed with an exceptional 5″ staple length. Next-to-skin soft for most people and, though the locks aren’t always distinct, they process easily.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Merino x Lincoln x Cormo x Wensleydale #21103

    $18.00$56.00 Select options

Here we have a nice four way cross – Merino x Lincoln x Cormo x Wensleydale. We search out these crosses looking for the finest animals in the flock and often getting fleece from the same animal year after year. This one of those fleeces, medium gray in color, with 4.5-inch-long locks and some sheen. Locks are easily separated. A wonderful spinners fleece!

  • Fleece for Sale

    Merino x Wensleydale x Cormo #149

    $54.00$103.00 Select options

This white fleece is a cross between Merino, Cormo and Wensleydale. With half of the genetics coming from the Merino and a quarter each from the Cormo and Wensleydale we would expect a very soft hand from the fine wools and a more open crimp from the long wool. Surprise! It is soft with lots and lots of crimp. And a lock that looks like a mini BFL. There is a lot of stretch or, as we say, sproing. The fiber is 4-1/2 inches in length. We love these fine wools crossed with Wensleydale. This fiber should be very interesting to work with.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Romney X #22085

    $41.00$136.00 Select options

A Romney crossbreed of unknown breeding. The 5″ locks and softer-than-Romney hand indicate some Corriedale influence. Black with brown tips, this coated fleece is highly skirted and extremely clean.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Romney X #22087

    $36.00$62.00 Select options

This fun Romney crossbreed is tan and gray with a 5″ staple length. It has a softer hand and more spring than you would expect from a purebred Romney.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Romney x Columbia #233

    $31.00$58.00 Select options

A chocolate and dark brown fleece that is a rather unique crossbreed. The result is 3-4″ long locks that have a soft to medium hand that open and process rather easily. This is a lamb fleece, so the tips are tender in places and will break off in the fiber prep stage.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Shetland x Coopworth #19183

    $29.00$56.00 Select options

An interesting pairing of breeds that achieved the goal of corssbreeding: this fleece mostly resembles Coopworth, but has a softer than typical hand and locks that are very easy to open. White with 5″ long locks, this should be a breeze to process.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Suffolk x Teeswater x Gotland #23107

    $19.00$114.00 Select options

Don’t let the word Suffolk scare you away from this fleece! Despite being a crossbreed of a dual-purpose breed and two long wools, this fleece has a medium to soft hand. White to light gray with loose, mostly french fry style but occassionally wavy 5″ long locks. A wonderful example of the effects of cross breeding.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Teeswater x CVM #22256

    $33.00$109.00 Select options

What happens when you cross a relatively soft long wool with a fine wool? You get this deliciously squishy, 5.5″ long, bright white fleece with distinct locks that should process like a dream.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Wensleydale x CVM x Lincoln #22115

    $21.00$127.00 Select options

A chocolate brown lamb fleece with french fry style locks ending in blonde curlicue tips. This is a fun crossbreed that is half Wensleydale x CVM and half CVM x Wensleydale x Lincoln. The result is a soft hand, bold lock structure, springy crimp, and a bit of sheen.
