    This cross of CVM, Cotswold and BFL produced a white fleece with 5 ½-inch locks. The locks have the structure of a BFL. The BFL and the Cotswold contributed length and some sheen. The CVM contributed the softness. This is a lamb fleece with a little tenderness in the tips. A pass through a lockpop or a flicker will remove the tender tips.

Colors run the gamut from dark to light gray and tan to light brown. This fleece is similar to the fleece we used in our Bliss club for the first quarter of 2024; it is from the same flock but does not contain Lincoln lineage and the crimp is not quite as consistent throughout the fleece. Nonetheless, it is a very nice fleece overall. Sold as a highly skirted whole fleece weighing 1.25 pounds.

    A very soft CVM exhibiting several shades of dark and medium gray. Five inches long with quite a bit of energy. This fleece has some issues with the tips of its locks; they are quite caked in mud even after several soakings, and the tips broke off on about half of the locks that we sampled. Sold as a whole fleece weighing 2.0 pounds. With a little work with a flicker or Lock Pop, this will be a nice fleece.
