A lusciously soft Merino crossbreed with 5″ locks. Mostly black with hints of dark brown and gray, and a french fry style crimp. Fleece like this one are the reason we like crossbreeds; it would otherwise be impossible to get a fleece with both this length and such a soft hand.

A bright white Merino Crossbred measuring 5″ in length. The thin locks have high energy and a combination of wavy and curly crimp. $20.00$121.00 Select options

A chocolate brown Merino Crossbreed measuring 3.5 to 4 inches in length. This fleece has a very soft hand a good sproing, or snapback in the locks. There is some light variegation in the color, with hints of light gray and blonde throughout, though it would be hard to define this fleece as anything other than chocolate brown. As we do not know this fleece’s progeny (other than Merino) and it looks and feels like a Merino, we have listed it as simply a Merino Crossbreed.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Merino x Cormo x Wensleydale #18141

    $32.00$103.00 Select options

This fleece is a cross between Merino, Cormo, and Wensleydale. With half of the genetics coming from the Merino and a quarter each from the Cormo and Wensleydale we would expect a very soft hand from the fine wools and a more open crimp from the long wool – and that is exactly what we have. The fiber is 4-1/2 inches in length and a medium brown color. We love these fine wools crossed with Wensleydale. This is an excellent hand spinners fleece.

    $18.00$56.00 Select options

We search out these crosses looking for the finest animals in the flock and often getting fleece from the same animal year after year. This one of those fleeces, medium gray in color, with 4.5-inch-long locks and some sheen. Locks are easily separated. A wonderful spinners fleece!

  • Fleece for Sale

    Merino x Wensleydale x Cormo #149

    $54.00$103.00 Select options

This white fleece is a cross between Merino, Cormo and Wensleydale. With half of the genetics coming from the Merino and a quarter each from the Cormo and Wensleydale we would expect a very soft hand from the fine wools and a more open crimp from the long wool. Surprise! It is soft with lots and lots of crimp. And a lock that looks like a mini BFL. There is a lot of stretch or, as we say, sproing. The fiber is 4-1/2 inches in length. We love these fine wools crossed with Wensleydale. This fiber should be very interesting to work with.
