  • Fleece for Sale

    Imperfect Gulf Coast Native #421004

    $84.00 Add to cart

A Gulf Coast Native fleece from the same flock that we sourced the fiber for our 2021 4th Quarter SE2SE club installment. This fleece, however, has both a little more vegetable matter than the fiber we used in the club, as well as a break right in the middle of the lock. At just 3.5 inches in length, that leaves less than 2″ in both of the broken halves; this fleece is most likely suited best for felting due to the short length of the resulting fibers. Sold as a whole 3.75 pound fleece.

  • Fleece for Sale

    CVM #718161

    $298.00 Add to cart

This moorit (brown) CVM fleece is from a wether, or castrated male. We prefer wethers because they don’t go through the stress of the reproductive cycle at any point during the year, meaning all of their energy goes into growing a nice fleece. This fleece has 3.5″ staple length and the soft hand you would expect with a CVM. It does have a light touch of lanolin and you may see a light sheen on your hands when working this fleece, but it is not so much that it will harm your equipment or make it more difficult to process. This is being sold as a whole 2.6 pound fleece and will come with a Shave ‘Em to Save ‘Em passport sticker.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Imperfect CVM x Rambouillet #42075

    $52.00 Add to cart

Medium to light gray CVM x Rambouillet crossbreed fleece with 3″ locks. This fleece is tender in many spots and will cause neps and noils when carding. For spinning, this fleece will give you texture for a tweed preparation, but will need to be blended with another fiber to create a yarn with integrity. For felting, this would make a nice textured base if carded woolen. This is being sold as a 1.6 pound (24 ounce) fleece.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Leicester Longwool #19034

    $24.00 Add to cart

Here is a nice Leicester Longwool. The locks are silver gray in color, 5-inches in length with typical Leicester crimp and luster. Leicester Longwool is a Shave ‘Em to Save ‘Em breed. A passport sticker will be included with 4 ounces or more.

  • Fleece for Sale

    BFL x Clun Forest x Texel #720023

    $175.00 Read more

We are offering for the first time a BFL x Clun Forest x Texel. The 5” locks are somewhat coarser than the BFL x Clun Forest cross. They are bright white at the root to ivory at the tip. We think this one would be a good candidate for the dye pot most likely yielding a variegated color. Sold as a whole fleece of 2.4 pounds.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Wensleydale #719078

Wensleydale is one of our favorite breeds and this fleece is an excellent example of why we like it so much. The 8” locks range from silver to dark gray with about the last inch and a half being tan at the tip. The individual fibers are closer to 12” when straightened out. This fleece has a lot of luster. Wensleydale is the only long wool that is often worn next to the skin. This fleece would be beautiful as a shawl. Sold as a half fleece weighing 1.5 pounds. This is one of the nicest Wensleydales we have seen.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Imperfect Merino Crossbreed #419112

    $105.00 Add to cart

A 3.75″ long Merino crossbreed with short, tight crimp and incredibly soft hand. Deep black in color with some brown on the tips, we fell in love with this fleece without checking for soundness. Unfortunately, much of the fleece is tender which pushed it into our Imperfect collection. Sold as a complete 3 pound, 10 ounce fleece, this would be a great fleece for a felter or for a spinner looking to make fine wool nepps in an art batt as the tenderness of the fiber will cause it to tear while processing.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Huacaya Alpaca #A7185

    $71.00 Add to cart

Here we have a medium brown Alpaca fleece with 3-inch locks and defined crimp. Crimp is usually hard to see in washed alpaca. Most alpaca does not have any and often the crimp is lost in the wash cycle. We really like alpaca that holds its crimp through the wash. This is a very nice soft fleece. Sold as a whole fleece weighing 1.3 pounds.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Huacaya Alpaca #A7188

    $110.00 Add to cart

This light brown Alpaca fleece has 3” locks and just a touch of tan in the last ¼-inch of the lock. Some crimp is present. Whole fleece weighing 2.1 pounds

  • Fleece for Sale

    $234.00 Add to cart

A Corriedale that is medium gray in color with the last ½ inch of the lock tan. Fibers are 4 inches in length and has a soft hand. This is a nice fleece for hand spinning. Sold as a whole fleece weighing 3.5 pounds.

    $110.00 Add to cart

Here we have a very pretty reddish-brown alpaca with just a little cream mixed in. Locks are 3 1/3-inch in length, very soft with lots of crimp and luster. Sold as a whole fleece weighing 1.7 pounds.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Coopworth #718085

    $295.00 Add to cart

Here is a whole 4.9-pound white Coopworth fleece. Typical Coopworth lock structure 5” in length with some yellowing on the tip ends. A very versatile fleece, either use the natural color or dye it. Coopworth can be used as you would a Romney or a Border Leicester. Excellent for socks or second layer garments.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Wensleydale #718211

    $195.00 Add to cart

This Wensleydale fleece contains a wide variety of gray shades and has a 6-7″ staple length. A half year of growth and heavy skirting resulted in 1.7 pounds for this fleece being sold in its entirety.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Leicester x Corriedale x Lincoln x Cotswold x CVM #27

    $23.00$135.00 Select options

A rare 5-way crossbreed in which a purebred Leicester Longwool was bred with a sheep that was equal parts Corriedale, Lincoln, Cotswold, and CVM. The result is a 5″ long staple with a hand that isn’t soft but also isn’t too coarse. This would be a good fleece for a sweater or socks.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Border Leicester #719155

    $150.00 Add to cart

A typical Border Leicester fleece with 5″ staple length. This white fleece has some yellowing, which makes it a great candidate for the dyepot. This is being sold as a whole 2.3 pound fleece.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Lincoln x Suffolk #718065

    $105.00 Add to cart

This 1.8 pound “Lincolnfolk” fleece has curly 5″ locks with a variety of gray shades throughout. Blonde tips adorn the end of most of the distinct, curly locks of this relatively coarse fleece from two breeds that are typically grown more for meat than their fiber.

  • Fleece for Sale

    Border Leicester #71701

    $174.00 Add to cart

A typical seven-month Border Leicester Lamb fleece 5 inches in length. The fiber starts out black at the root for a couple of inches transitioning to medium brown and then to light brown for the last 1 ½-inches ending in a cute lamb curl. Whole fleece weighing 2.9-pounds.
