Unfortunately, this fleece had a mishap in the washing process and is a little felted. It will not make a great fleece for hand spinning, but the curly and wavy locks would be great to felt further. A black Icelandic fleece with tog measuring around five inches and its softer thel measuring around three inches in length. Length appears to be inconsistent for both types of fiber. Both also have some hints of brown, while the tog also has a smattering of gray fibers. Considering the relatively similar lengths, this fleece is probably best suited for a project that will blend both fibers together, rather than separate them. Sold as a whole fleece weighing 2.1 pounds.
