Corriedale #62199

In some places, the locks are thin and almost BFL-like while in other places, they are thick and look like traditional Corriedale locks. This fleece is mostly bright white, but appears to be more of a cremay or off-white in many places, and also has some yolk staining that will also give it a creamy appearance when processed. Sold as a half fleece weighing 2.3 pounds.

Racka #2557

It consists of a coarse guard hair that is as long as 11″ and a relatively soft undercoat as long as 5″ in length. This sheep is raised in a wildlife conservancy, so not much care was given to the quality of the fleece; as such it is lightly cotted and some vegetable matter in it. We recommend blending the two coats together, as trying to separate them will likely result in a large amount of waste. This fleece is mostly white and tan, but at time shows some browns and grays.

This fleece has thick, bold locks that are cotted (lightly felted) at the cut ends. In order to be spun, this fleece will require some work with a Lock Pop or combs and there will be a fair amount of waste. However, if used for a felting project – vegan sheep skins come to mind – this fleece is ready to use as is. Pricing on this fleece has been lowered to reflect the assumption of loss when processing for spinning.
