Merino Crossbreed #19043

It measures 5″ when stretched, but relaxes to around 3 inches in length, and has a next to skin soft hand. This fleece has a little bit of dirt in the tips but don’t let that scare you off; it will fall out in the fiber prep stage.

It consists of a coarse guard hair that is as long as 11″ and a relatively soft undercoat as long as 5″ in length. This sheep is raised in a wildlife conservancy, so not much care was given to the quality of the fleece; as such it is lightly cotted and some vegetable matter in it. We recommend blending the two coats together, as trying to separate them will likely result in a large amount of waste. This fleece is mostly white and tan, but at time shows some browns and grays.
