A white – or maybe more accurately, dirty blonde – Cotswold fleece with 3″ locks and a medium hand. This fleece has more crimp and energy than we typically see in this breed; combine that with the short length (this was shorn mid-year, rather than a full year’s growth) and this fleece from a long wool breed is suitable for a woolen project. An intriguing four breed cross that resulted in a variegated fleece. While the length seems to be fairly uniform at around six inches, the color runs from white to light tan to light gray, while the locks structure runs from distinct and highly energized to amorphous and relaxed. This fleece has a relatively soft handle that will be next to skin soft for most people and will be interesting to process and spin.
