A “black” Corriedale consisting of charcoal and dark brown hues. This is an Austrailian-style Corriedale, meaning it is shorter, finer, and has more energy than typical Corriedales grown in the US. The 4″ locks have a tight crimp, medium to soft hand, and open easily for processing.

A 4″ Corriedale with Australian lineage, meaning it is softer and has more crimp than we typically see of other Corriedales grown here in the US. Lightly variegated from dark gray through black with some brown tips, this fleece has gorgeous natrual color that could be best descriped as charcoal. It has a medium to soft hand and can be used next to skin or just one layer out for most people.

A dark black crossbreed measuring 7″ in length! While this has a softer feel than you expect from a fleece this long, it has a medium hand and would be appropriate to use in a second layer, rather than next to skin. The locks have a hint of brown on the tips that will blend in to create a beautiful depth of color when processed. This should be a relatively easy fleece to process for its length, as the tips are easy to open and locks are mostly defined.

A rare 5-way crossbreed in which a purebred Leicester Longwool was bred with a sheep that was equal parts Corriedale, Lincoln, Cotswold, and CVM. The result is a 5″ long staple with a hand that isn’t soft but also isn’t too coarse. This would be a good fleece for a sweater or socks.
