Lock structure and length seem to be variable on this fleece, but the handle is consistently about halfway between coarse and medium. This fleece could be a good woolen spin or your next felt project. It is a rare breed and does have more vegetable matter than we prefer to see in our fleece; that is something we live with when working with rare breeds. Sold as a highly skirted whole fleece weighing just over half a pound at 9.5 ounces.
