This fleece is the only example of this crossbreed that we have come across, and it is one we hope to see more often! It is a deep charcoal color with brown tips, and features distinct 4″ locks with french fry crimp. It has a medium hand and will process easily. A stunning fine wool crossbreed with springy locks measuring three inches when relaxed. The color is lightly variegated from tan to light brown; locks are relatively indistinct but easy to sort and process. While it is rare to find two relatively similar breeds crossed with each other, this deliciously soft fleece with bouncy locks is a good example of the two breeds working well together.

A fun crossbreed measuring as much as 9″ in length with a medium to soft hand. This fleece has thick, bold locks that are cotted (lightly felted) at the cut ends. In order to be spun, this fleece will require some work with a Lock Pop or combs and there will be a fair amount of waste. However, if used for a felting project – vegan sheep skins come to mind – this fleece is ready to use as is. Pricing on this fleece has been lowered to reflect the assumption of loss when processing for spinning.

A highly energized, creamy white Merino crossbreed fleece. This one could be the picture next to the dictionary entry for “sproing.” Much of this fleece resembles a BFL although it is a Merino crossbreed with a smattering of Cormo, Lincoln, and Wensleydale in its lineage. It measures 5″ when stretched, but relaxes to around 3 inches in length, and has a next to skin soft hand. This fleece has a little bit of dirt in the tips but don’t let that scare you off; it will fall out in the fiber prep stage.
