This fleece is virtually free of vegetable matter, but we have found it to be tender, particularly where the locks transitions from brown to gray, about halfway down the lock. An incredibly soft Wensleydale lamb fleece with tell-tale curlicue lamb tips. These energized locks measure between 3.5 and 4 inches in length; the delicate lamb tips will likely break off during processing, resulting in a slightly shorter staple length. This relatively short and soft fleece can be prepared and spun in either a woolen or worsted manner and lends itself to a variety of next-to-skin projects.
