Charcoal gray Black Welsh Mountain measuring two to three inches in length. Lock structure and length seem to be variable on this fleece, but the handle is consistently about halfway between coarse and medium. This fleece could be a good woolen spin or your next felt project. It is a rare breed and does have more vegetable matter than we prefer to see in our fleece; that is something we live with when working with rare breeds. Sold as a highly skirted whole fleece weighing just over half a pound at 9.5 ounces.
