This is a gorgeous example of this rare breed. It is five to six inches in length, has a medium hand, and sports a variety of gray hues with a high sheen. A rare 5-way crossbreed in which a purebred Leicester Longwool was bred with a sheep that was equal parts Corriedale, Lincoln, Cotswold, and CVM. The result is a 5″ long staple with a hand that isn’t soft but also isn’t too coarse. This would be a good fleece for a sweater or socks.

An intriguing four breed cross that resulted in a variegated fleece. While the length seems to be fairly uniform at around six inches, the color runs from white to light tan to light gray, while the locks structure runs from distinct and highly energized to amorphous and relaxed. This fleece has a relatively soft handle that will be next to skin soft for most people and will be interesting to process and spin.
