Pricing on this fleece has been lowered to reflect the assumption of loss when processing for spinning.

As is common in fleece this long, this Lincoln is lightly matted and will need some hand teasing and opening with a flicker or Lock Pop prior to further prep or spinning from the lock. This is a Shave ‘Em to Save ‘Em breed and each order of four ounces or more will receive a passport sticker.

It consists of a coarse guard hair that is as long as 11″ and a relatively soft undercoat as long as 5″ in length. This sheep is raised in a wildlife conservancy, so not much care was given to the quality of the fleece; as such it is lightly cotted and some vegetable matter in it. We recommend blending the two coats together, as trying to separate them will likely result in a large amount of waste. This fleece is mostly white and tan, but at time shows some browns and grays.
