A 5″ Romney with bold crimp in defined locks. This fleece is too dark to be called brown, and too brown to be called black. Regardless, it has lovely natural color and a softer hand than one would expect for Romney.

A longwool crossbreed with high luster and stunning 8″ locks. This white, tan, and blonde lamb fleece feels softer than expected, with a medium hand that may even be acceptable for next to skin use for those who aren’t particularly sensitive. The exceptional length of this fleece does mean it has had more opportunities to collect vegetable matter; while it looks fairly clean on the whole, we wouldn’t be surprised if the long locks shed some VM when processed.

Don’t let the word Suffolk scare you away from this fleece! Despite being a crossbreed of a dual-purpose breed and two long wools, this fleece has a medium to soft hand. White to light gray with loose, mostly french fry style but occassionally wavy 5″ long locks. A wonderful example of the effects of cross breeding.

The locks are slightly corksrew – which we usually see more in Teeswater fleece than Wensleydale – and may take a little more work to open up for spinning.
