A highly energized, creamy white Merino crossbreed fleece. This one could be the picture next to the dictionary entry for “sproing.” Much of this fleece resembles a BFL although it is a Merino crossbreed with a smattering of Cormo, Lincoln, and Wensleydale in its lineage. It measures 5″ when stretched, but relaxes to around 3 inches in length, and has a next to skin soft hand. This fleece has a little bit of dirt in the tips but don’t let that scare you off; it will fall out in the fiber prep stage.

Batts that are packed with a brush tend to release from the card cloth easier than those that are not packed – leaving less fibers behind to clean and your batt intact.
